TO THE FAITHFUL...For a couple of years I have been urged by many people to charge for the Wire or accept ad. I've thought about it especially since I retired, but decided not do so. It remains a labor of love and my contribution to our community.However the cost of my many subscriptions has ballooned to about $3000 a year. It's doable but it has strained our now fixed income. I've decided to ask  readers for donations.
